Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)

Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) is a negotiated benefit for NWTTA members from all three bargaining units (GNWT, YCS and YK1). EFAP is confidential service available to all NWTTA membersat no cost to help with any personal or work-related issues, including:

  • achieving personal well-being
  • managing relationships and family
  • dealing with workplace challenges
  • tackling addictions
  • finding child and elder care resources
  • legal advice
  • financial guidance
  • improving nutrition
  • focusing on physical health

Support is available in person, by telephone or through online resources, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
